Overview of heat-shrinkable tubes

- Heat-shrinkable tubes feature a shape memory property that makes it possible for materials to go back when heated to the shape that was memorized at the initial stage of the manufacturing process.

- Soft tubes are used for insulating and protecting covered materials.

- The tubes are highly resistant to thermal impact, and are available in various colors.

- Printing can be made on the surface of the tubes.

Kinds of heat-shrinkable tubes

PENTA TUBE (PET Heat-Shrinkable Tube): PET heat-shrinkable tubes that use PET, an eco-friendly material, as the main material.

- TBT free, Halogen free

- Complied with European REACH requirements and RoHS

MD TUBE (PVC Heat-Shrinkable Tube): PVC heat-shrinkable tubes that use PVC as the main material.

- Acquired UL 224 VW-1 (YDQS2) Flame-Resistance Standard

- Complied with RoHS requirement, TBT free

- Custom-made printings can be made in case of PENTA tubes and MD tubes

Shrinkage ratio

- Measure the widthwise and lengthwise shrinkage ratios after cutting a tube into a 100mm length and immerse it into boiling water (98+/-2℃ x 30 seconds)

* Shrinkage ratio (%) = (Length as supplied - Length after Shrinkage) / Length as supplied X 100

- Standard shrinkage %: Transverse direction of shrinkage ratio 45±5%, Longitudinal direction of shrinkage ratio 10±5%. Discussion can be made when there is a special request from customers.
